mdadm error "No mail address or alert command - not monitoring"

After the setup of a MD software raid you possibly get this error message during the boot process.
If it happens have a look at /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf.
Make sure there is the following line. As soon as mdadm has your email address the error should be gone.
